You can participate in our evangelistic activities or become a short term volunteer working in one of our ministries or departments.
YWAM has an international university, The University Of The Nations, that has seven departments. The department of Christian ministries, Arts, Science and Technology, Health and Counselling, Human Sciences and International studies, Communication and Education. Our university uses a module method.
Each student will accumulate credits in courses that take between three and nine months. Each course is divided into a theory phase and then a practical phase when the student has the opportunity to apply what they learnt, in Christian service. If someone decides that they could improve their ministry even more by doing another course / module they could then do so, or they can return to work in their ministry.
This university is an option for those who desire immediate involvement in the mission field. Because of its nature, in Brazil, the University of the Nations is not recognised by the ministry of education in Brazil. However as an international university many of our students have had opportunities to also study in other universities that have recognised and accepted their credits.
The way into this international university is a school called DTS (Discipleship Training School).This basic course lasts 5- 6 months (3 theory and 2-3 practical) It has a devotional / technical characteristic where the student has the opportunity to learn about God, His character, evangelism techniques, drama and other themes. During the theory phase the focus is to excite the student to know God and after this phase to make Him known. After the school the student decides if they will continue in missionary service, return to work in their church, or do another course that would fit their needs or calling, whether cross cultural, ethics / language, communication etc.
This provides the student with a good opportunity of real involvement in missionary work and so receives a clear vision of what missions is and what ministry they are called to.
This school takes place 2 times a year in English and Portuguese (bilingual)

A twelve month theology course. Old and New Testament, Church History, Discipleship for the Nations and other themes related to practical application of the gospel to change society.

ENVIA -Night School.
A discipleship course that motivates the local church to missions. The course takes place in the city, in a place that is easy for the churches to access, enabling Christians to have an integral involvement in the Kingdom of God.
